Twenty years on both sides of the work.

I have run the business and sat inside one.

Most fractional creative directors come from one side of the business. They are agency people who have never operated inside a regulated company, or in-house people who have never run one. I have done both, and that is the whole point of how I work.

I founded and ran LightSource Media, a full-service production company in Boston, with clients like CBS, Red Bull, and Lexus. I know what it takes to win the work, scope it honestly, and ship it on a budget that has to make sense.

Then I spent nearly a decade as Creative Services Team Leader at Brown Brothers Harriman, one of the oldest private banks in the world. I built the media production operation from zero. No infrastructure, no playbook. I created the systems, the standards, the team, and the output, and scaled it to more than 100 videos and 1,750 integrated assets a year inside a highly regulated environment.

That combination is rare. It means senior direction from day one, no learning curve, and the credibility to work at every level of your organization. On this site, that experience shows up as projects: defined, fixed-fee engagements that leave your team better than I found it.

Four things I hold to.

The brief is the work

Most creative problems are upstream. A weak brief produces weak work no matter how good the team is. I spend my time where the leverage is, which is usually before anyone opens a design file.

Outcomes, not hours

You are not buying my time. You are buying a decision, made and documented. I scope to an outcome and a fixed fee, so the incentive is to finish well, not to bill longer.

Build it to outlast me

Every engagement ends with a working system your team owns and runs. If the only thing that improves is what happened while I was in the room, I did the job wrong.

Direct, no layer

You work with me. There is no account manager between us and no junior team learning on your budget. The fastest way to fix something is the direct one.

How the experience stacks up.
